Fred – Talks

Hello! Welcome to Fred-Talks.   I thought I should tell you something about what this Newsletter is, will, and won’t be.

I have too many interests to write on one subject only. I do have a studied opinion on the material I write about, however. Some items will be oriented towards biology, some toward music, many on the environment, some on college education, and some on bureaucracy. I might include, on occasion,  material on current events. I am oriented on content, and will spend little time on blog methodology.

I plan to submit a Newsletter every month or so. When you click on the “Post” button in the Header, you will see my most recent Newsletter. You can see, on the side bar, a list of previous Newsletters, and can click on them there.

I have recently published a small book on the importance of drinking water (Water).  It is available in paperback and in Kindle.  Look for them in Amazon, if you are interested. I second edition is in process.

I am also give a series of weekly lectures at Oregon State University’s  Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon.  I currently lecture about “Potable Water” at 1:30 pm on Saturdays. I plan to  talk about Ocean Warming, “Dead Zones”, and the “Garbage Patch” in the Pacific Ocean  in the near future.

I also plan to give a series of lectures on Invertebrate Zoology.  This series will be oriented toward volunteers at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, and any interested others.

I would be glad to answer any questions you might have, and seek suggestions on what you would like to read in these Newsletters.  I will also consider receiving  material from you will  publish them, with your permission.  My email is .
